2008 Hopefuls

By not denouncing the issue of Romney’s faith and declaring that personal religous beliefs should not be a factor in a candidate’s qualifications for office demonstrates that Mike Huckabee intends to exploit the prejudice against the Mormon faith to which Mitt Romney subscribes. The former governor from Arkansas is promoting himself as a “Christian leader” in a new ad airing in Iowa, a clear dig on Romney because many view the Mormon religion as non-Christian. Huckabee’s use of religion as a weapon against another candidate is despicable and should be denounced by believers of all religious persuasion.
